Description
SSAIS was co-founded by Joel Levin and Esther Warkov after their daughter was sexually assaulted on a school field trip. SSAIS is the only organization specifically created to address sexual harassment and assault and K-12 students’ rights. With the increased attention on sexual assault on college campuses, it’s time to address the epidemic of sexual harassment and assault impacting younger students.
SSAIS creates free educational materials including videos and toolkits that teach how to prevent sexual harassment and assault, explain students’ rights and schools’ obligations.
These materials are designed for all U.S. families and can be adapted for students outside the U.S. SSAIS is featured widely in the media and is a member of the National Coalition for Women and Girls in Education (NCWGE).
